Resumen
Breve estudo, de carácter essencialmente histórico, em que se reexamnia o episódio da conquista de Lisboa (1247) por parte de D. Afonso Henriques, graças ao determinante apoio militar dos cruzados ingleses e escandinavos que se dirigiam a Jerusalém, para a Segunda Cruzada. A partir do exame das fontes históricas relativas ao episódio, o autor sublinha que «There seems to be no acceptable evidente to indicate that the attack on Lisbon had been discussed with crusaders from Northern Europe before they set out. The sources whose autenticity is not in doubt suggests rather that, like crusading forces which gave assistance in the Iberian peninsula on the way of Holy Land at other times, the 1147 expedition was persuaded to paricipate on attack on the Moors only after it had teached in the Iberian coast» (pp. 12-13)
