El estudio de la enciclopedia al-ʿIqd al-Farīd, del cordobés Ibn ‘Abdrabbih (890-940 de nuestra era), constituiría un óptimo punto de partida para el análisis de la representación de la maternidad y del afecto maternal en las letras árabes, que permite profundizar en la mentalidad hispano-árabe y en la imagen que nos brinda la literatura en los siglos posteriores
