Resumen
Examina el papel de Minaya Álvar Fáñez en el Poema de Mío Cid, en particular su contribución a la visión heroica del poema. Se analiza el personaje de Minaya en tanto que forma de doble literario, centrándose en los aspectos creativos de este proceso de duplicación a través de la estructura y la subjetividad. «I shall explore the fine line between doubling as a divisive and a multiplicative dynamic, assessing whether the Cid and Minaya retain essentially independent identities or are conflated into a single heroic vision, and what this brings to our interpretation of the poem. Inherent in this discussion, therefore, is the poem’s propensity to link and to differentiate as a way of conveying meaning» (p. 464)
