Resumen
Estudia 76 falsos epigramas de comienzos del siglo XVI. Dichas inscripciones ofrecen una ideología diferente a la imperante en la historiografía tradicional hispana. Además de las fuentes frecuentes (Tito Livio, Suetonio, Valerio Máximo, Orosio, Plutarco, etc.), ellos están inspirados en Marcial y Catulo. Su autoría es atribuida a dos humanistas, Pietro Martire y Giovanni Ruffo
